The Graduate School of Innovative Therapies in Cancerology is exploring various excellent research areas in immunotherapy and targeted cancer therapy. In immunotherapy, the focus is on studying biomarkers for detailed analysis of the tumor environment and using advanced molecular biology techniques. The research also looks into understanding the immune response to different therapies.
Additionally, approved targeted therapies for cancer treatment are being used together with other approaches to counteract the rapid development of specific resistance. This combined strategy shows promise for improving treatment effectiveness and clinical outcomes.

The first European Centre de Recherche sur l’Inflammation is dedicated to studying inflammatory mechanisms. It brings together 12 fundamental and clinical research teams from INSERM, CNRS, and Université Paris Cité. These teams primarily focus on exploring inflammatory processes affecting organs such as the liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine, and immune system.
Lariboisière Hospital
Lariboisière-Fernand-Widal Hospital, part of AP-HP’s university hospitals, offers local, referral, and specialised healthcare for general and specific emergencies. It is known for expertise in neurology, interventional neuroradiology, neurosurgery, ENT, and ophthalmology. The hospital is also expanding into interventional cardiology and rheumatology, along with providing orthopedic and visceral surgery.

IThEM consists of 20 researchers, including scientists, doctors, and pharmacists focusing on hemostasis and vascular biology. It operates a research center at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences in Paris, along with clinical and biological research centers at various hospitals such as Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou, Hôpital Cochin-Hôtel Dieu, Hôpital Necker-Enfants malades, Hôpital Lariboisière, and the Centre d’Investigation Clinique en Biothérapie.
